The project consists of a complete replacement of the 8-lanes of expressway deck in 4 stages, while maintaining full traffic capacity. Two new lanes of cast-in-place deck are connected with longitudinal closure pours of ceEntek’s Next Generation UHPC 2.0TM. Many of the previous expansion joints are replaced with UHPC link-slabs, to provide a leak-free connection and smooth ride.

This project runs throughout multiple construction seasons and during the late fall castings requires the implementation of “Cold Weather Practices”.
